A Day In The Life Of An Internet Marketing SuperStar
In this way I would be able to share with You exactly what a typical day is like for someone who is successful with their Online Marketing Career. Clyde Batton began by telling me that his day actually starts before he is even out of bed. "As soon as I AM aware of what I AM thinking....my day has begun. I want every moment of my day, as far as it is possible, to be about the right kinds of things". He pointed to a piece of cardstock he had pasted to the ceiling above his bed saying. " Every day around here begins with the very same question....." What Is The Highest Ideal Of Myself I Can Be Today? With this thought in mind, Sam,Clyde and I suit-up and head for the backyard. On the way thru the kitchen, we stop and Clyde fixes us both a decadently wonderful cup of Gano Cafe Moca. This treat comes as a surprise to me because I AM sure that someone like Clyde Batton, who is into Health and Nutrition, Weight Loss and a rigorous work-out routine, would be severly restricting their caloric intake. In Clyde's own words he says: "My Gano Cafe Moca....I cannot do without. I know it is 108 calories per cup but I don't care, I love it .......Gotta have my Mocha in the morning". No Moca for Sam though......just a biscuit. Sam is Clyde's 110 German Shepard, whom You will meet in a moment. Once outside in the backyard, we begin the practice of "Japa" meditation; a technique for quieting the mind which Clyde says he is learning from Dr. Wayne Dyer. More can be found on "Japa" in the Resources Section of the 997 Purple Cowboys Website under Success MindSet Training. 5:00-5:40 A.M. While Sam "does his business"......Clyde and I focus on our breathing and slowing down our brainwaves by taking in long slow deep breathes and making the "Japa" sound. It seems strange at first as we begin making these very low deep and rumbling "Ah" sounds, but very soon a calming sense of peace and well-being comes over me as we continue doing the "Japa" together for about 30-40 minutes. This morning in the backyard, it being very early March in Chicago, it is "crispy cold" and very very quiet. There is a brisk kind of energy in the air and I find this morning routine with Clyde very exhilarating. Here I want You to meet Clyde's dog Sam. He is very much the Alpha Male, who likes to let everyone who passes near the backyard fence know, that he is definitely "large and in charge". Meet Sammy here in a rare moment, for it is not often that he will sit still for pics.
There Is Always More In Life To Be Grateful For Than What We Think Is Missing He goes on to say that far too often we are focusing all of our energies and thoughts on what it is that seems to be amiss or lacking in our daily lives. That each one of us is so busy about the business of "Getting more of", "Having more of" and "Doing more of" those things we think will satisfy, that we miss out entirely on what he calls the "miracle of the moment" or that which is ......"nearer than breathing; closer than hands and feet." He quickly reminds me as he begins expressing his own gratitude for all the people who have recently been coming into his life as a result of Purple Cowboy Marketing™and how important it is to recognize the opportunity "to serve"; that I too have a lot to be grateful for and thankful for, and that I should probably give my son and grandchildren in California a call. So much to be thankful for ......so much love to share. Clyde Batton goes on to say that this is so important for him that he actually keeps a daily "Thankfulness Diary" in which he writes down each day what it is that he has in his life to be thankful for. "The experience of abundance and true wealth in your life starts with a practiced awareness of what it is that You already have" he says,"a realization that as individual manifestations of Divine Spirit, we each already possess within our Consciousness every possiblilty that could ever exist." Clyde can see that I AM somewhat confused with this and just smiles as he goes on with his "gratitude stuff." "I try to send a blessing each day to every single person who has a picture on our website" he says, talking about the Purple Cowboys......."That way I can focus on them and just be a mirror in which they can begin to see their own divinity and just how magnificent and capable they each already are." I AM beginning to realize that there is a lot more to this "SuperStar Stuff" than I at first imagined. I do my best not to get too hung up on "religious stuff" as I feel that everyone has their own take on that one...but everyone who does Network Marketing for any length of time soon realizes that Marketing is really an Inwardly Spiritual kind of Journey heading in the direction of One's Own Personal Growth. We Are All Finding Our Own Way To The Truth. 5:45-6:00 A.M. During this quiet time of the morning...with Sammy running around in the backyard, Clyde Batton takes a few notes on what he says is "coming thru" as the mind is almost never cluttered at this time of day and good ideas flow easily. He goes on to say that the "Infinite Invisible" is always supplying answers and that without writing them down they are quickly forgotten.....he also mentions focusing on his "mental rehearsal" techniques which he promises to explain to me in greater detail later. 6:00-6:30 A.M. After the meditation quiet time, it is time to get physical. Clyde is into strenuous physical exercise and since I consider myself a bit overweight and am going to "keep up" with this old guy today.......I agree to do everything that he does. We begin with something a bit strenuous .....we Jump Rope a 500 x's in sets of 100 each just barely catching our breath between each set. (If you look closely you can see the shadow of the rope Clyde is jumping in this pic.) This is an extremely good cardio-vascular work-out routine. I AM thoroughly winded and bent over double by the time we finish. 6:30-6:50
A.M. Affirming the Intention For The Day.
Immediately following the rope work, we set out on a run around
the neighborhood...an 8 city-block radius (this is about 1 1/4
miles which Clyde says he is gradually extending as he gets his
"wind up" and loses more weight.)
In Clyde's own words: Here I want to speak a bit about energy transferance. For the most part, our experience of energy is that we somehow know it is there but rarely if ever; do we actually physically see energy. It is the Infinite Invisible. I discovered that we human being are freely exchanging this energy all the time. My last experience of this was on my morning run, when I decided that what I would do is play a little game with myself. I decided: that I would get every single person I passed on the street to acknowledge me by waving or if they were in a car to wave or honk their horn. The interesting thing I noticed is that as I kept running along and smiling and speaking to everyone, I just kept getting more and more joyful and happy. As I kept laughing and waving to everybody as I ran along the street, just about every single person waved and smiled back......I even had a couple of drivers acknowledge me with a blast on their horn. With that hand motion I was giving and receiving positive energy. The end result was I finished my run with even more energy than when I started. I got my energy from the people I acknowledged and waved to......I AM pretty sure they got something from me too.
6:50-7:15 A.M. By the time I return to my backyard gate I AM breathing really heavy and need to catch my breath. So I usually like to sit down in my little yellow lawnchair and decompress for a few minutes. I just kinda relax, settle in and begin imagining how great it feels being that guy who makes all that money each week. I imagine the kinds of projects he is working on and the kinds of business people and artists he works with each week. I imagine all the great people he meets each week and brings into his thriving NetWeb Marketing Business. I see him successfully leading huge seminars in hotel ballrooms packed with people who cheer when he comes on stage. I don't know why but this guy is always wearing a white suit with a great looking blue shirt. This is my reverie and I do everything I need to do to get into the "feeling mode" of being that "$40K a month guy". I think like he does. Enjoy the kinds of things he likes to do, associate with the kinds of people he likes to "hang-out"with. I see myself wearing the kinds of clothes he likes to wear while driving the kinds of cars he likes to drive. This is not about DOING something special in order to one day be that guy. This is just about BEING that guy right now sitting here in my backyard in my little yellow 1957 lawnchair. After some rest it is time to do the Cardio stuff downstairs. 7:20-7:30 A.M. Back into the kitchen for my Strawberry Smoothie Drink. If I don't have any left over I will take time to make it. This is my energy drink I use thru-out the day. 2 Oranges cut up go into my Osterizer Blender along with, 3 Bananas and 1/3 of a bag of frozen Strawberries. I add 16 oz. of water to blend it all together. As it is blending I add one pac of Gano Cafe Classic and shake some ground cinnamon on top. When I've got it all working together, I add two trays of ice cubes and it becomes my Smoothies Drink. And now it's downstairs to get the Cardio happening. Albert Ibanez was a Spanish composer who wrote a beautiful piece of music for two guitars called Granada which is part of his Suite Espanol. I turn on my CD player and begin listening as I commence my Cardio-Vascular Workout. This is also a visualization and breating exercise. I work with a 50 lb barbell and 10 lb dumb bells for these exercises. You can watch the first video below to see most of this routine. I also focus on the Theatre Of The Mind DreamBoard You will see below to mentally picture those "Pecs and Abs to Die For" I keep talking about.
With each of the above routines, I first "mentally practice" doing the routine. I first see the exercise in my Mind's Eye. Once I complete that then I actually do each routine, so I have in effect done each of these exercises 2x's. As I "mentally rehearse" each exercise I actually envision in my mind the muscle group that particular exercise is focusing on. What we are seeking here is definition which will happen first on the mental/emotional plane and then later actually manifest as real change in the way my body actually shows up on the physical plane. So in my mind, instead of seeing this pudgy 59 year old guy with a round belly.....
I was not really getting an actual mental picture at first but surprisingly after just a couple of days I began to see myself on stage in the Theatre of The Mind actually doing the work and looking exactly the way I AM IMAGING myself to be. This newly formed mental picture of myself will then be utilized in the Theatre of the Mind as an "embodied image" and action scenario when I begin to play and act out the part of the person I AM Becoming. This in turn will cause me to start to think and act as though I AM actually the 38 year old with the "six-pac" to die for instead of the 59 year old who currently looks more like a keg of beer. Not Quite a 6-pac Yet! Eventually this new self-concept....this new mental picture of myself will be accepted as the true me and my body will be directed by my brain to start to look the part for it will need to conform to the way my Mind's Eye sees things. This by the way is the whole secret behind IMAGING. You can never be successful in changing if you continue to hold on to the old Image of Your Self.....by Self I mean how you mentally and psychologically see yourself. For Example: If I AM fat and want to lose weight.....I must first begin to see myself as the slender human being I intend to become. I have pictures of 6-pac abs thru out my house to constantly remind me of the new physical self-image I AM Becoming. It will not be long before my subconscious mind begins to accept the "Mental Rehearsal Image" of myself I AM envisioning. I must also start "to act out" the part. When I walk now....I walk the way a 160 pound man walks....not some guy who is overweight and waddling around carrying a spare tire around his waist. Now don't get me wrong.....I Love myself for exactly the way I AM right now....and I accept my desire to change as that part of my consciousness which chooses to express itself as a 160 pound man experiencing perfect health and wellness.....wholeness (holiness) and completeness. SideBar: I actually stopped myself from popping a bowl of popcorn at 1:00 AM and loading it down with melted butter with a voice that asked me......"Now would a 160 pound man who knew he was going to be working out in the morning at 7:00 AM be scarfing down popcorn with butter at 1:00 AM?......Go to bed now and get some sleep." So when I AM walking....I AM someone who already weighs 160 pounds. The "Mental Rehearsal Image" is coming now in flashes and is part of my meditation thru out the day. I can't hold the image long yet but when I see it.....it is clear. I can actually see myself sitting on my bench press machine looking the way I want with those 6-pac abs and pecs. As I continue to build my "mental rehearsal" scenarios I will add more and more scenes and activities of me Being, Doing and Having exactly what I want to BE DO and HAVE in my life. So when all is said and done...losing weight or releasing the weight has almost nothing to do with the weight and everything to do with "letting go" of and releasing the old and familiar pictures I have been holding of myself. By acknowledging daily that in fact I AM "new to myself on this day." Every day in the mirror I see the new man emerging. What a gas this is!!
The more I do this, the more real it becomes for my subconscious mind which starts to respond in kind until eventually the old self-image is completely replaced and discarded. I plan to update these pics as we go along....just so we can measure our progress. I know my big belly looks bad, and I AM even a bit embarrassed to show You....but what I hope to show You with my progress as we go thru this together is that nothing is uanattainable...nothing is impossible to do with Your mind once You have decided You will acheive it. ![]() 8:45-9:30
A.M. Once I complete
my bench press exercises, I put on a set of headphones and I do
a 1/2 hour relaxation session with my brain entrainment CD
from Theatre of the Mind. This is a combination
of deep breathing and mentally focusing on the "highest ideal
of myself I can be today." It is during this routine that
I actually go into the Theatre of the Mind and
begin to visualize each "embodied image" of myself and each action
scenario in which I see myself Being the Person I AM becoming
with as much detail as I can muster.
![]() Here it is very important to begin evoking all the right kinds of feelings........feelings of gratitude and appreciation, thoughts and feelings of being loved and admired by the world....experiencing joy and a real sense of happiness in the Here and Now. I AM very okay with myself as I AM.....I just want to get better!
9:45-10:00 A.M. It's time for the Purple Cowboy Morning Call and I get on the phone with all my team members. This call is very motivational and inspiring for everyone. We outline our strategies and goals for the day. Each member outlines their income producing activities for the entire day. Generally we orient everything around having a certain thing done each day by the time we have the evening call each day. By looking at what each member actually produces by the end of each day. We each in turn start to have revealed to us our daily Modus Operandus or how we actually put our time to good use. For most team members on these calls......it takes less than a week to discover just how much time gets wasted each day and exactly how much time actually gets spent engaging in Income Producing Activities. The value here is the discovery of one's own daily operating MindSet. In The End...It Never Really Matters What You Felt Like Or What You Thought About Or What You Might Have Realized In A Moment Of Clarity......It Is Only What Actually Got Accomplished .....What Got Done.......That Really Counts For Anything At The End Of The Day. More than anything else we all must begin to discover where we are at with our "MindSet"......this is actually what lives each and every one of us. This amounts to how we each see ourselves and who we believe ourselves to be on the inside. This is what determines all of our life situations and all the results we are producing in our lives on the outside. I have watched Rhonda Bryne's movie "The Secret" many many times and swear by it.......but found I needed more to really start to manifest....lucky for me my Source led me to The Theatre of the Mind. 10:00-10:45 A.M.The
Purple Cowboy Morning Call is always short and to the point,
so by 10:00 AM, I AM already back
down in the Studio and ready
to start practicing my piano which I do for one hour.
Let me tell you what is so special
about the way I practice my music these days. What this
is really all about is calming, relaxing and centering.
What this thing I AM doing with the
Piano is all about is focusing. I put the headphones
back on and continue listening to the brain entrainment CD
while I practice. What I AM actually looking to do with my
practicing is to slow down my brain and empty my mind of useless
chatter. SideBar:I have been a music
producer for more than 25
years now. I remember once as a student I met Andre Watts
one night after a concert. Andre is one of the greatest
concert pianists of all times and
was on his debut, a protege
of the late Leonard Bernstein of the New York Philharmonic.
I
remember going backstage expecting to find Mr. Watts an exhausted
and nervous wreak, as
he had just performed an unbelievably difficult Prokofiev Piano
Concerto; but no there he stood in the wings a picture of perfect
composure and serenity calmly
smoking a cigarette. When I shook his hand, I was amazed
at his composure.....I don't think I had ever met a more relaxed
and unassuming human being.
Andre was still in The Zone and I will tell you more about that later when we actually go into the Theatre of the Mind, but for now suffice it to say that; when I am practicing I AM looking to get into the Zone. So I put on my headphones and listen to my brain entrainment CD while I practice for about an hour. It's really a different kind of practicing for me, because instead of learning a bunch of tunes or such.....I AM actually practicing for developing my state of mind when I play. I play the same exercise over and over each day.....but change the key so I have to find all the right notes in the new key. This is very good for helping me to see what to play in each key....because playing piano is also a very visual event and requires eye-to-hand coordination not unlike sports. 10:45-12:00 P.M.Okay so now it is 10:45 and I go back upstairs and get ready to meet the world on the telephone. I spend a short time in the bathroom doing a couple of things.....the most important of which is my mirror exercise. I just look at myself in the mirror and start smiling. This kind of appreciation is based on what I feel I have done the previous day which really helped someone I spoke with or someone I AM training move forward. This is the part of the Theatre Of The Mind Training where you are only allowed to be one day old. In other words, I can only reference myself by what I have done and who I have been for other people on the previous day. I have found that the best way to feel really great about yourself is to do something for other people. Today I AM just standing here and recalling an "experience of gratitude" that literally brought tears to my eyes the day before. The details don't really matter but the essence of it was that I had met someone at a Networking Breakfast the previous day who had closed the meeting with such an inspirational interaction with the room that I was so moved that I just got all "busted up inside" and was just brimming over with joy. So I sought the speaker out after the meeting and really expressed how his talk had made me feel. He really got it and we shared a hug. I brought what he had shared with the group and now have it pasted on my bathroom mirror. I usually read it aloud 2 or 3 times every time I visit the John.....I shout it out louder and louder each time. My wife thinks I have lost my mind.....oh well....here it is. When I share it with my coaching students I have them follow and repeat aloud. This is just the way my friend Mark Stevenson gave it to us that day:
After that I AM really pumped up and ready for the phone. I make myself a cup of GanoCoffee on the way to my office (this is one of the businesses I AM having a lot of fun promoting and making money with.) Once I AM in the office I AM in the "phone zone." Let me explain.....when I get on the phone, I AM always there in the proper frame of mind. This is really what the "highest ideal of myself today" is really all about. I take responsibility for my tone and my mood when I AM on the phone. I AM there for other people. People I AM coaching, people with whom I AM sharing my marketing opportunity. This phone thing is no longer about me trying to "get them into my deal." This phone thing is about finding out where they are at, what they are looking for and how I can help them succeed in life; no matter what company they may be with or what their endeavor may be. I create value by helping them win for themselves. Therefore with every phone call I consider it my job to leave them in a higher state of mind than they were when I first started talking to them......this is my work right here with every phone call.....even my bill collectors. I create enthusiasm in the conversation and make sure they feel good about themselves. I pay attention and strive to have a genuine interest in the other person and what they are about. I look for a way to create some humor or get a couple of laughs going. I always establish a relationship of some kind with the people I talk to on the phone which is based on their interests and not mine. I ask the kind of questions to help them move forward with what it is they say they are looking to accomplish with their marketing. I AM generally so busy these days with PurpleCowboyMarketing™.....that when I AM on the phone dialing.....it is almost always a 3-way call and I AM coaching one of my students while I prospect.
